Eleonora works as a legal search consultant alongside partners Andy Russell and Melinda Wallman in London. Eleonora focuses on the identification of suitable candidates for law firm partner roles, and on accompanying them through the recruitment process. Eleonora very much enjoys enabling lawyers to find the firm at which they will flourish, and where their business will thrive. She fully understands the challenges of changing legal roles. Given her background, Eleonora loves to learn about the clients’ culture and strategy, to help them hire the best lawyers they can afford.
Eleonora holds a Master’s degree in Law from the College of Europe (Bruges). Prior to moving to London, she enjoyed a varied EU career in Brussels. She was a case-handler at the Directorate-General for Competition at the EU Commission, where she took part in the energy sector inquiry and investigated high profile cases. A member of the Brussels bar, she practiced competition law for several years at WilmerHale and Covington & Burling, advising international clients on large EU investigations. She was also a legal reporter at MergerMarket for the online newswire PaRR. She wrote on EU competition developments and reported on ongoing cases. Lastly, she was an associate director in a public affairs consultancy, focusing on communications and lobbying.
At the beginning of her career, she interned at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and at the European Court of Justice.
Eleonora was twice elected President of the Alumni Association of the College of Europe. Together with her great team, she significantly developed the Association’s offering and brought the Association back to financial health.
She is fluent in English, French, Italian, Swedish and Dutch.
Eleonora has two young daughters to whom she tries to communicate her passion for languages. She is an avid reader, not only of Astrid Lindgren stories.
